New Iberia ;- Funeral services will be at 4:00 PM, on Wednesday, January 28, 2009, at Pellerin Funeral Home Chapel in New Iberia, for Paul Bourque, 65, who passed away on Monday, January 26, 2009 in New Iberia. ; Entombment will follow in Holy Family Mausoleum. ; Rev. Jeffrey Strassel will officiate. ; Born on May 26, 1943 in Iberia Parish, Mr. Bourque was the pastor of Coteau Community Church for over 30 years and worked for Access Oil Tools. He enjoyed studying the Bible and singing Gospel songs. Survivors include his wife, Lucy Romero Bourque of Coteau; son, Kevin Bourque and fianc Tammy Blanchard of New Iberia; daughter, Wanda Dorsey and husband Barry of New Iberia; step daughter, Kathleen Borel and husband Jim of New Iberia; step son, Kenny Romero and fianc Joan Duplantis of New Iberia; brothers, John "J.C." Bourque and wife Grace of New Iberia, Herbert Bourque and wife Mitzi of Breaux Bridge, Purfey "Jo" Bourque and wife Beverly of Port Arthur, Texas; sisters, Theresa Steel of New Iberia, Mary Winn and husband Jack of Lafayette; 5 grandchildren, Ashley Bourque, Brittany Bourque, Jason Dorsey, Todd Dorsey, Drew Dorsey; 3 step grandchildren, Ryan Borel and wife Summer, Holly Morgan and husband Ken, Jeremy Romero and fianc Marsha Delcambre; 6 step great grandchildren. ; He was preceded in death by his parents, Edias and Effie Rouly Bourque; and a brother, Antoine Bourque. ; A gathering of family and friends will be Wednesday from 9:00 AM until time of service at Pellerin Funeral Home, 502Jefferson Terrace Blvd, in New Iberia. ; Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd., New Iberia, LA 70560, 337.365.3331, is in charge of arrangements.
