New Iberia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, November 24, 2018, at St. Marcellus Catholic Church in Rynella for Paul Kenneth Dugas, 67, who passed away on Monday, November 19, 2018, in New Iberia.
Rev. Keith Landry will be the Celebrant.
A gathering of family and friends will be at Pellerin Funeral Home from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Friday, and will continue on Saturday from 8:00 am until 9:15 am.
A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Friday.
Interment will follow at Broussard Cemetery Annex in New Iberia.
A lifelong resident of New Iberia, Paul Kenneth Dugas was born on January 22, 1951 to the late Stafford and Hazel Duhon Dugas. He proudly served our country in the U.S. Army as a Helicopter Pilot during the Vietnam War, and worked in the oil industry for 50 years. Kenneth was a huge New Orleans Saints fan. He was also Multi-State Golden Gloves Champion, and enjoyed camping, golfing, fishing and dancing. He will be deeply missed.
Mr. Dugas is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Christine Duhon Dugas; daughter, Candace Dugas Rake and husband Chuck of Titusville, FL; sons, Christopher Dugas and wife Laurie of Centralia, WA, Kenneth Dugas of Humble, TX, Nicholas Dugas of New Iberia, and Seth Dugas of New Iberia; 27 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Dugas; sisters, Pearl Dugas Davidson, Diana Dugas Norris and Wanda Dugas; and a daughter-in-law, Brandi Eakes.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Zachary Taylor, Seth Dugas, Jr., Austin Willis, Ryan Taylor, Nicholas Dugas, Jr., and Gavin Rhodes.
Honorary pallbearer is Spencer Rake.
