St. Martinville - A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, April 26, 2019, at Pellerin Funeral Home of St. Martinville for Paul E. Duhon, 80, who passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 2019, at St. Martin Hospital.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Thursday and continue on Friday at 7:00 am until 10:30 am.
A rosary will be prayed at 6:30 pm on Thursday. A Celebration of Life will be held after the rosary.
Deacon Ken Soignier will officiate at the Funeral Service. The readers will be Brittany Fuselier and Gabe Fuselier.
Interment will follow at St. Michael Mausoleum in St. Martinville.
Paul honorably served in the United States Army for six years. He was a farmer in his younger years and then went on to be a self-employed truck driver for 30 years. Paul was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and worked very hard to be a good provider for his family. He enjoyed watching westerns, being outdoors, and cherishing moments spent with his family and friends. Paul will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Anna Belle Sieber Duhon; daughters, Sheila Choplin and husband Kurt, and Tina Fuselier and husband Mike; son, Kevin Duhon and wife Laura; brother, Bubba Guilbeau and wife Faye; sister, Mae Pugh and husband Dave; grandchildren, Brittany Fuselier, Gabe Fuselier, Cameron Choplin, Camille Duhon, Crystal Guidry, and Naomie Gerard; and one great grandchild, Carter Guidry.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Camille Guilbeau; and his sisters, Frances Mendoza and Eve Delcambre.
Pallbearers will be Gabe Fuselier, Cameron Choplin, David Mendoza, Tommy Mendoza, Wiltz Bienvenu, and Maurice Oubre.
