Paul "Joe" Boutte`

New Iberia – Paul “Joe” Elton Boutte`, Sr., a blessed and admired son, brother, father, and grandfather, passed away on Saturday, March 22, 2025. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 pm, on Friday, April 4, 2025, at St. Nicholas Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the St. Nicholas Cemetery, in Patoutville, with military honors by the Iberia Honor Guard.

Visitation will be held on Friday, from 9:00 am until 12:15 pm, at Pellerin Funeral Home. A rosary will be prayed at 11:00 am.

A lifelong area resident, Mr. Boutte` was born on March 4, 1949, to the late Howard Boutte`, Sr. and Frances Boutte`. He proudly served our country in the U.S. Army, during the Vietnam War. “Joe” loved warm summer days enjoying crawfish boils and barbecues with his family. This always made his day perfect.

Paul “Joe” Boutte` is the definition of a TRUE FIGHTER! He loved with his whole heart and those who knew him could do nothing but love him back. “Joe” will be deeply missed.

Survivors include his daughters, Chastity Boutte`, Shawnette Olivier (Derrick), Jodi Boutte`(Laderrick), and Scotti Boutte`; son, Paul Elton Boutte, Jr.; 16 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren; siblings, Dalton Boutte` (Sylvia), Doris Rader, Shirley Robertson, Mary “Loni” Greene (Larry), Howard Boutte`, Jr. (Carolyn), James “Ernest” Boutte (Joanette), Glenn Boutte`(Rebecca), Michael Boutte` (Genia), and Betty Landry (Lennis).

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Kioko “Mousey” Paul Boutte`; granddaughter, Cassidy Boutte`; siblings, Henry Rifford Boutte`, Linwood Boutte` (Mary), and Dolly B. White; cousin, Dennis "Sonny Boy" Boutte`, Jr.
