Broussard - Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, July 22, 2019, at Our Savior's Church, 655 Hwy 96, in Broussard for Paul Lancon, 30, who passed away on Tuesday, July 16, 2019, in Erath.
Interment will follow in the Holy Family Cemetery in New Iberia.
A gathering of family and friends will be at Our Savior’s Church in Broussard on Sunday from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm, and will continue on Monday from 8:00 am until 10:00 am.
A Lieutenant Deputy with the Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Department, a proud trumpet player, a gamer, movie enthusiast, great friend, beloved son, and a dear brother, Paul Lancon was loved by many. He was born December 30, 1988, was a graduate of Westgate High School, and a member of the Community Band. Paul could always be counted on to make one laugh with his jovial personality and his light hearted demeanor. Everyone who knew him has funny memories to look back on and cherish. His family, although shocked by his untimely death, are comforted by the fact that Paul left behind a legacy of joy, laughter, and deep-seated compassion and soft heartedness. He will be deeply and painfully missed by all who have crossed paths with such a wonderful soul.
Suvivors include his mother, Beverly Lancon of Coteau; brothers, Robert Hebert, Jr. and wife Megan of Rayville, David Lancon of Austin, Texas; sister, Gwen Gondron of Youngsville; step grandmother, Rosa Belle Lancon of New Iberia.
He was preceded in death by his father, Dyna Lancon, 10 years almost to the day; grandparents, Louis Lancon, Aymar Bonin, Carmen "Connie" Bonin, and Mary Watkins Williams.
