Paul Patin

Cecilia - Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, on Saturday, February 25, 2012, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cecilia, for Paul Abel Patin, 80, who passed away on Wednesday, February 22, 2012. Rev. Michael Delcambre, will officiate at the Mass. Gift bearers will be Marion Guidry, Susan Thevenet, Piper Blue Thevenet, Ashley Kreg Patin and Tara Logsdon. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Cecilia. Mr. Patin loved farming and owned several race horses. He also worked on the river boat and as a painter. He retired from the St. Martin Parish Sheriff's Office were he was a Road Crew Deputy. He was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church community and served as an usher. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Marion "Sue" Guidry Patin of Grand Anse, his 3 sons - Herman "Kee Kee" Patin of Carencro, Kenneth "T-Ken" Patin of Grand Anse, Matthew Patin of Grand Anse; daughter - Susan P. Thevenet of Lafayette; 2 brothers - Carol Patin of Leonville, James Alton Patin of Grand Anse; sister - Marie Louise Bourgeois of Biloxi, MS, Judy Touchet of Carencro; 5 grandchildren, Colby Patin, Tara Logsdon, Nathaniel Patin, Piper Blue Thevenet and Ashley Kreg Patin; 3 great-grandchildren, Alex Patin, Harlyn Claire Logsdon and Alyssa Patin. He is preceded in death by his father, Adolph Patin, mother, Lude Berard Patin, brothers, John Patin and Joseph W. Patin and sister, Lucille Berard. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 2:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Friday and continue at 8:00 am until 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Pallbearers will be Herman "Kee Kee" Patin, Kenneth "T-Ken" Patin, Matthew Patin, Colby Patin, Michael Logsdon and Nathaniel Patin.
