Paula Jean Borel

St. Martinville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 pm on Tuesday, February 6, 2018, at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church for Paula Jean Dufrene Borel, 64, who passed away on Friday, February 2, 2018. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 1:00 pm until 10:00 pm on Monday and continue on Tuesday at 7:00 am until 11:30 am. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Monday. Rev. Rusty P. Richard will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in St. Martinville. Paula was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, along with going to the casino. Paula was faithful, out-going, and always had something positive to say. She was always ready for a road trip with her sisters-in-law. Paula will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her daughters, Melanie Olivier and husband David, Danielle Borel, and Rachelle Chiasson and husband Lee; grandchildren, Blaize Borel and companion Misti Gaudet, Branson Chiasson, Tori Olivier, Kylie Olivier, and Jayde Boudreaux; great grandchildren, Brantsley and Evvie Borel; and brother, Terry Dufrene and wife Betty. She was preceded in death by her husband, Steven P. Borel; parents, Edison and Pauline Ogeron Dufrene; granddaughter, Kennedie Rae Boudreaux; sister, Barbara Dufrene Mayeaux; and brother, Dean Dufrene. Pallbearers will be Blaize Borel, Jayde Boudreaux, Matthew Case, Lucas Borel, Dorsey Boudreaux, and Joshua Case.
