Paulette Sons Wilson

Coteau - Funeral Service will be held at 7:00 pm on Friday, January 17, 2020, at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia for Paulette Sons Wilson, 76, who passed away on Tuesday, January 14, 2020, at Lafayette General Medical Center. Entombment will be at a later date. Rev. Garrett Savoie will officiate. A gathering of family and friends will be at the funeral home from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Friday, and Recitation of the Rosary at 6:30pm. A longtime resident of Coteau, Paulette Sons Wilson was born in Berwick, LA on November 11, 1943 to the late Julien and Lydia Grainier Sons. Paulette was an avid outdoorsman; she loved doing yard work, especially cutting grass and raking leaves. She had an amazing green thumb, and could grow anything. A true animal lover, she was always rescuing feral cats that always seemed to know just which house to go to! She had a fierce love for her grandsons, and was her happiest when spending time with her family. Paulette was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend who will be deeply missed. Mrs. Wilson is survived by her loving husband, Willard F. Wilson, Jr.; sons, Christopher Wilson and wife Trina of Coteau, and Shane Wilson of Coteau; grandsons, Brodie (Jenna) Wilson, Brenon (Brandi) Wilson, and Brandon Wilson; and her siblings, Irma Lee Lombas of Bayou Vista, Diane Sheehan of Berwick, Barry Sons of Arnaudville, and Jimmy (Betty) Sons of Baton Rouge.
