Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, February 7, 2006, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge for Paulin Blanchard, Jr., 79, who died Sunday, February 5, 2006 at his residence. Interment will be in St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge. Survivors include five sons, Early Blanchard and his wife, Cecile E. of St. Martinville, Steven J. Blanchard and his wife, Annie A. of Breaux Bridge, Lester C. Blanchard and his wife, Audreaux A. of Youngsville, Clarence P. Blanchard of Breaux Bridge, and Terry Blanchard and his wife, Donna B. of Breaux Bridge; three brothers, Abel Blanchard of Parks, Leon Blanchard and Allen Blanchard, Sr., both of Breaux Bridge; four sisters, Elise Blanchard, Solange Blanchard, Ozia Theriot, all of Breaux Bridge, and Alena Belaire of Parks; twelve grandchildren; and fourteen great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Norma Mary Bijeaux Blanchard; his son, Larry Blanchard; his parents, Paulin and Alena Roberts Blanchard, Sr.; four sisters, Noelie Guidry, Eunice LeBlanc, Lota Melancon, and Marie Landry; and three brothers, Drozin Blanchard, Robert Blanchard, and Leo Blanchard. The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 3:00 p.m. ~ 10:00 p.m. on Monday and continue at 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday until time of service. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Monday evening. Pallbearers will be Steven, Clarence, Terry, Kerry, Jason, and Steve Blanchard. Honorary pallbearer will be Dr. Kevin Blanchard. Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
