Pauline Fuselier Chargois

St. Martinville - Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Thursday, January 3, 2008, at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church in St. Martinville, for Pauline Fuselier Chargois, 87, who passed away on Monday, December 31, 2007 at Lafayette General Hospital. Entombment will follow at St. Michael Mausoleum in St. Martinville. Rev. Austin Leger, pastor of St. Martin de Tours Church, will conduct the services. Readers will be Kasey and Allison Theriot. Gift Bearers will be Curt Degeyter and Jaime Degeyter. Mrs. Pauline was a native and resident of St. Martinville who was employed as a receptionist at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church for 23 years. She enjoyed her flower garden, especially her beautiful day lilies that bloomed in many colors. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family and friends. Survivors include one daughter, Mary Lynne Dugas and her husband, Kenneth of Loreauville; her two sons, Michael and Ricky Chargois, both of St. Martinville; her seven grandchildren, Kasey Theriot and her husband, Jason of St. Martinville, Kevin Dugas and his wife, Denise of St. Martinville, Korey Dugas and his wife, Tammy of Fort Polk, LA., Kraig Dugas and his wife, Cissy of Broussard, Kyle Dugas of St. Martinville, and Kelly and Karol Dugas of Loreauville; and nine great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Ray Chargois; her son, Wayne Chargois; her granddaughter Klaire Dugas; her parents, Fergus and Anita Olivier Fuselier; her sisters, Ella F. Theriot, Monita Oubre, Agnes ""Mim"" Fuselier and May Martin; and her brothers, Palmer Fuselier and Nolan Fuselier. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 2, 2008 and continue at 9:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, January 3, 2008. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Pallbearers will be her six grandsons, Kevin, Korey, Kraig, Kyle, Kelly and Karol Dugas. Honorary pallbearers will be her nephews. Pellerin Funeral Home of St. Martinville is in charge of arrangements.
