Payton Lane Cazayoux

May 7, 2001 — July 18, 2018

Payton Lane Cazayoux was born on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina on May 7th, 2001. She came into this world with a host of medical conditions that she fought valiantly against her entire life. Payton was a student at Breaux Bridge High School. For those who knew Payton, they knew she loved music and she was a very social child. She loved being in the midst of other students and in the center of the family circle. For those who did not know Payton, she had a sheer delight for the sound of running water. Payton had a delightful sense of humor and timing. Although she was non-verbal, Payton spoke volumes with her exquisite, soulful eyes. Payton touched many lives and taught us all lessons along the way. Payton Lane Cazayoux adored her father! She lit up like a Christmas tree anytime he entered the room. Together, Payton & her dad, were known as peanut butter & jelly (they stuck together). Payton was indeed the quintessential Daddys Girl. Payton is the beloved daughter of Holden and Priscilla Cazayoux, sister of Anna Cazayoux, and step brother Tanner Blanchard. She is survived by her paternal grandmother Joy Williams of Covington and maternal grandmother Patsy Clemens Broomes of Lafayette. Payton is preceded by her paternal grandfather Robert Cazayoux. Paytons memory will be celebrated and cherished by her loving Aunt Laura Cazayoux, Uncle Chriss Cazayoux; and cousins Lyle and William Cazayoux. The family has scheduled visiting hours at the funeral home from 1:00 PM until 8:00 PM, with a rosary at 7:00 PM, on Sunday, July 22nd. Monday, July 23rd the family will gather at the funeral home for final respects beginning at 7:00 AM with a non-denominational service at 10:30 AM.
