Pearl Kidder Duhon

Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Friday, June 26, 2009, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Pearl Mary Kidder Duhon, 91, who passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2009 at her residence in Lafayette. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 1 in Breaux Bridge. Father Paul LaFleur will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Gift Bearers will be Melissa Begnaud, Reagan Duhon, Kyle Guidry and Kale Guidry. Survivors include her son, Jerry W. Duhon and his wife, Jean, of Breaux Bridge; her daughter, Joyce Duhon Begnaud, of Lafayette; 5 grandchildren, Mike Begnaud, Bryan Begnaud, David Duhon, Mark Duhon, and Julie Duhon Guidry; 11 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Theophile Duhon; her parents, Wade "Cook" and Elbee Thibodeaux Kidder; and her son-in-law, Herman C. Begnaud. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. on Thursday and continue at 7 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. on Friday. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. on Thursday. Pallbearers will be Aaron Begnaud, Christopher Begnaud, Will Begnaud, David Duhon, Mark Duhon, Clint Duhon, Colby Duhon, and Brent Owens. The family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Kemp Coreil and Hospice Compassus, for the loving and compassionate care given to her during her illness.
