New Iberia

New Iberia - Arrangements are pending for Pearl Alice Trahan, 87, who passed away on Friday, January 31, 2025.

Pearl Alice Trahan was born on April 17, 1937, to the late Elvar and Elina Maturin Trahan. She found joy in many hobbies. She was passionate about cross stitching and sewing, often transforming simple fabric into beautiful creations. Her love for arts, crafts and painting allowed her to express her artistic flair.

Pearl was an excellent baker; her collection of cookbooks was a testament to her culinary passion.

Pearl had a special fondness for watching cowboy shows and enjoyed sipping on her Coca-Cola. However, it was her family that truly filled her life with purpose and happiness. She took immense pride in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, cherishing every moment spent with them, especially the little ones.

Mrs. Trahan is survived by her children, Calvin Gaudet, Deborah Miguez, and Richard Gaudet; grandchildren, Nicole Gaudet, Kimberly Meyers (Brian), Holly Gary (Murphy), Shauna Estis, Laci Wiley (Aubry), Matt Miguez (Heather), Jake Miguez, Alexis Gaudet, Taryn Gaudet, Tyler Gaudet, Amber Usé (Jonathon), Zachary Gaudet (Courtney), and Mason Vincent; great-grandchildren, C.J., Nicholas and Mackenzie Maturin; Dusty Meyers (Sarah), Abbey Meyers, Brayton Gary, Lane Estis, Londyn and Lakelyn Bonin, Talyn and Kadyn Cooper, Archer and Alina Wiley, Elleyana, Eastyn, and Emylie Miguez, Kai Newsom, Violet Turner, Joey and Gracelynn Gaudet, and Kyrie Vincent; and great-great-grandchildren, Savannah and Nathan Meyers, Brantleigh and Briar Duhon.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Kern Gaudet; husband of over 40 years, Jerry Gaudet; companion, J.C. Breaux; grandson, Brooks Gaudet; and great granddaughter, Wrenleigh Vincent.

Pallbearers will be Matt Miguez, Jake Miguez, Zachary Gaudet, Dusty Meyers, Mason Vincent and Brayton Gary.

Honorary pallbearers are Kadyn Cooper, Eastyn Miguez, Nathan Meyers and Archer Wiley.

Pearl will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love will remain in our hearts. May she rest in peace.
