St. Martinville - A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, August 7, 2023, at Pellerin Funeral Home in St. Martinville for Peggy Jane Trosclair, 83, who passed away on Wednesday, August 2, 2023, at Landmark of Acadiana Nursing Home.

A visitation will take place at the funeral home in St. Martinville on Monday, August 7, 2023, from 9:00 AM until 1:00 PM.

A rosary will be prayed at 11:30 AM on Monday.

Father Bill Melancon will officiate at the funeral service. Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery.

Peggy was born on July 31, 1940, in New Iberia. Peggy's professional journey spanned over several decades, leaving an indelible mark on the textile industry. For 13 years, she served as a clothing inspector at Martin Mills, showcasing her unwavering commitment to precision and excellence. Her unwavering work ethic was unmatched, and her attention to detail was revered by colleagues and superiors alike.

Beyond her career achievements, Peggy remained true to herself by pursuing her passion for camping and exploring the wonders of nature. Few could match her enthusiasm for setting up camp under star-studded skies or sharing stories around a crackling bonfire. Her adventurous spirit continues to ignite inspiration in those fortunate enough to have accompanied her on these memorable excursions.

Peggy C. Trosclair will forever remain in the hearts of those whose lives she enriched. Her memory will serve as a guiding light, reminding us to live each day fully and to cherish the connections we forge with others. May her soul find eternal peace, knowing that her impact on this world will never be forgotten.

She is survived by her sons, Kirk Trosclair (Christine) and Harold Trosclair, Jr. (Sandy); daughters, Kimberly Latiolais (Richard) and Marlene Perez (Marty); 9 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; and her sister, Gail Beauchamp.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Harold Trosclair, Sr.; and her parents, Roy and Martha Babineaux Comeaux.

Pallbearers will be Erick Trosclair, Beau Trosclair, Koy Perez, Marty Perez, Kyle Latiolais, and Tyler Latiolais.

Honorary pallbearers will be Kirk Trosclair, Harold Trosclair, and Richard Latiolais.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Landmark of Acadiana Nursing Home and Traditionsl Health Hospice.
