Percy John Daigle

Henderson - Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Tuesday, April 22, 2008, at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Henderson, for Percy John Daigle, 67, who passed away on Saturday, April 19, 2008 at Southwest Medical Center in Lafayette. Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in Henderson. Rev. Chang Nguyen, pastor of Our Lady of Mercy Church, will be the celebrant. Reader will be Tina Alexander. ?The eulogy will be presented by Janna Berard. Gift Bearers include Janna Berard, Ashley Daigle and Brittany Bergeron. Altar Servers will be Elijah Daigle and Bryce Daigle. Percy was retired from the oilfield and also as a welder. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. He was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Henderson where he served as an usher and helped with church maintenance. He enjoyed working in his yard and serving his wife. Survivors include his wife, Adele Boyer Daigle of Breaux Bridge, his sons, Michael Daigle and his wife, Sandy of Lawtell and Troy Daigle and his wife, Kelly of Breaux Bridge; his daughters, Deidra Vallot and her husband, Randal of Breaux Bridge, Agnes Berard and her husband, Shelby of Sunset, Tina Alexander and her husband, Don of Breaux Bridge and Rachelle Daigle and her companion, Carl Goudeau of Cecilia; his sister, Theresa Boyer of Parks; his brothers, Dennis Daigle of Breaux Bridge, Thomas Daigle of Breaux Bridge, Phillip Daigle of Scott, Raymond Daigle of Breaux Bridge and Russell Daigle of Cecilia; his 7 grandchildren and 7 step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Lindsey Daigle; his parents, Lucien and Agnes Johnson Daigle; his brothers, Daniel, Daris and Javis Daigle; his sisters, Odele and Elrena Daigle; his wife's parents, Mitchell and Ezilda Courville Boyer and his step-grandson, Eric Alexander. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 2:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. on Monday, April 21, 2008 and continue at 8:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 22, 2008. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Pallbearers will be Michael Daigle, Troy Daigle, Brandon Berard, Dustin Bergeron, Shelby Berard, and Randal Vallot. Honorary pallbearers will be Dennis Daigle, Raymond Daigle, Thomas Daigle, Russell Daigle and Phillip Daigle. The family would like to thank the staffs of St. Martin Hospital, Acadian Ambulance, and Southwest Medical Center for all of their hard work and their kind words during their time of need.
