Percy Landry

Cecilia - Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Monday, December 12, 2011, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cecilia, for Percy Joseph Landry, 88, who passed away on Friday, December 9, 2011 at J. Michael Morrow Memorial Nursing Home in Arnaudville. Rev. Michael Delcambre will officiate the funeral services. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Cecilia. Percy worked for the St. Martin Parish School System and was a carpenter by trade. While living at J. Michael Morrow Memorial Nursing Home, Percy made many new friends. He enjoyed gardening, visiting with family and friends and he especially enjoyed dancing. Survivors include his sister, Bernice 'Bune' Alleman; his two sisters in law, Ms. Lucy Landry and Mrs. Stella Broussard and her husband, Tom; his niece and care giver, Jenny Jones and many more nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Angellas and Elida Castille Landry; his wife, Eula Mae Hebert Landry; his son, Jessie J. Landry and his brother, Angellas 'Pedro' Landry, Jr. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 8:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. on Monday, December 12, 2011. A rosary will be recited at 1:00 p.m. on Monday. The Family would like to thank Dr. Kirk Elliott, Dr. Rees, Dr. Mounir and J. Michael Morrow Memorial Nursing Home for the loving care they gave Percy. Pellerin Funeral Home of Cecilia is in charge of arrangements.
