Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:30 PM, Friday, March 14, 2025 at St. Bernard Catholic Church honoring the life of Perry David Stelly, 67, who passed away on Sunday, March 9, 2025, at Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center.
A visitation will take place at the funeral home in Breaux Bridge on Friday from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
A rosary will be prayed at 12:30 PM on Friday.
Fr. Garrett McIntyre will officiate at the Funeral Mass.
Burial will follow at St. Bernard Mausoleum - No. 2.
Perry David Stelly, a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend. He spent his life building a legacy of warmth and camaraderie that will be cherished by all who were fortunate enough to know him. Perry made his home in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana, where he cultivated deep connections and shared his love for life with family and friends.
Perry was known for his engaging spirit and his infectious enthusiasm for life. As a dedicated sales professional in the printing industry, he excelled in his career while forging lasting relationships with colleagues and clients alike. Beyond his work, Perry's passions shone brightly. He found joy in watching sports, keeping a keen eye on the weather, and relishing quality time entertaining loved ones. An enthusiastic outdoor cook, Perry was particularly famous for his mouth-watering barbecue that brought family and friends together, creating cherished memories around the grill.
Perry also embraced the great outdoors with open arms, finding solace and joy in hunting and fishing. His warm nature ensured that he never met a stranger, leaving a lasting impression on everyone he encountered.
He is survived by his wife, Kelly L. Stelly; son, Jake Stelly; brothers, Stuart (Julie) Stelly and Dale (Theresa) Stelly; and his sisters, Trixie Scarbrough and Karla (Steve) Schwartz.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Malcolm and Merella Duplechin Stelly; his son, Matthew Stelly; and his brother-in-law, Steve Scarbrough.
Pallbearers will be Jake Stelly, Dale Stelly, Micheaud Stelly, Kody Usie, Sam Schwartz and Jackson Schwartz.
Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge (337-332-2111) is in charge of arrangements.
