Philip Dugas

March 29, 1955 — June 10, 2006

Phil, a native of Parks, Louisiana and a resident of Baton Rouge, died Saturday, June 10, 2006 at 6: 24 PM at Our Lady of the Lake Medical Center at the age fifty-one. Visitation was held on Monday, June 12, 2006 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Parks at noon until the funeral mass at 2:00 PM. The burial followed immediately at St. Michael Cemetery in St. Martinville, LA. He is survived by his devoted wife, Lorena, his parents, Mary Lou and Clet Lasseigne, two brothers and sisters-in-law: John and Jeaninne Dugas and Michael and Yvonne Dugas. Phil left behind four sisters and brothers-in-law: Doreen and Allan (Sprinky) Durand, Faye and Kirby Guidry, Gypsye (Itty) and Robert Bryan, and Alice and Robert Greer, Jr. and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Randal A. Dugas, and two brothers, Randal R. and Claude L. Dugas. Phil was a graduate of Louisiana State University and the LSU Paul M. Hebert Law Center. He was a practicing attorney and an avid LSU sports fan. Pallbearers were his brothers John and Michael Dugas, and his nephews, John, Craig, Chris and David Dugas. ?In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Phil's name may be made to the cancer service provider of your choice.
