Coteau - A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, July 27, 2021, at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia for Philip J. Peltier, 73, who passed away on Friday, July 23, 2021, at his home, surrounded by loved ones.Rev. Keith Landry will officiate.The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 9:00 am until 11:00 am on Tuesday. A rosary will be prayed at 10:00 am on Tuesday.Entombment will follow at Holy Family Cemetery in New Iberia. Philip James Peltier was born on May 13, 1948, and was a 1966 graduate of New Iberia High School. After serving in the National Guard, he worked for Shell Oil Company where he retired as Production Foreman after 32 years of service. An avid outdoorsman, Philip enjoyed fishing, hunting and golf, and he was happiest when he was on his tractor. He was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather and will be deeply missed. Mr. Peltier is survived by two sons, Sean Peltier (Kayla) of Erath, and Chett Peltier of Coteau; former wife and mother of his children, Linda Peltier Manceaux of Erath; a brother, Morris Peltier of Cade; a sister, Melinda Baldridge (Chris) of Coteau; three grandchildren, Abigail Peltier, Jonah Peltier, Gracie Peltier; two step-grandchildren, Jackson and Brooklyn Crouch; and a great-granddaughter, Lucy John Luke.He was preceded in death by his parents, Morris and Lorena Lormand Peltier; and siblings, Nancy Mouton and Kenny Peltier.
