Phillip was born on October 15, 1933, in Catahoula. Phillip was a man of many talents and interests. He embraced the role of a crawfisherman with great enthusiasm, often found at the water's edge, his silhouette outlined by the setting sun as he cast his nets, bringing the bounty of the bayou home to feed his loved ones. As a sugarcane farmer, he nurtured the earth with dedication, tending to his crops with the same care and devotion that he gave to his family. Phillip's work in the oilfield showcased his relentless spirit, earning him the respect of his peers and the admiration of those who knew of his unwavering commitment.
An avid outdoorsman, Phillip found joy in hunting, where he reveled in the quiet moments spent in nature, always appreciative of the beauty around him. His love for horse racing fueled many spirited outings, where the thrill of the race paralleled his zest for life. Similarly, Phillip enjoyed watching car racing, sharing those electrifying moments with friends and family, where laughter and excitement were hallmarks of his gatherings.
Life was a grand adventure for Phillip, not just in his hobbies but also in the warmth and strength of his family bonds. As a family man, he devoted himself wholeheartedly to those he loved, creating lasting memories that will forever echo in their hearts. Gatherings around the dinner table often featured stories of the past, rich with laughter and love, where every meal was a celebration of togetherness.
Phillip Borel will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
