Coteau - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Monday, August 21, 2017, at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Coteau for Phyllis "Honey" Borel LeBlanc, 52, who passed away on Tuesday, August 15, 2017, in Lafayette.
Entombment will follow in the church mausoleum.
Rev. Brian Harrington will be the Celebrant.
A gathering of family and friends will be Sunday from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia. A rosary will be prayed at 6:00 pm on Sunday. Visitation will continue Monday from 8:00 am until 9:00 am.
A resident of Coteau, Phyllis was born on December 29, 1964 to the late Wilton "Tee" and Gretna Landry Borel, and was a 1982 graduate of New Iberia Senior High. She retired from Winn Dixie after 25 years of service and she enjoyed fishing, following her children in their activities, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Chris LeBlanc of Coteau; son, Shae Christopher LeBlanc and wife Ashlee of Coteau; daughter, Rayner Renae LeBlanc of Coteau; grandchildren, Aubree Claire LeBlanc and Easton Thomas LeBlanc both of Coteau; brother, Kenneth Borel and wife Cindy of Lydia; sisters, Pat Bastanzuri and husband Martin of Lafayette, Elaine Buteau and husband Lannie of Lydia; mother-in-law, Ella Mae "Maw" LeBlanc of Coteau.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Cohen James LeBlanc, and her father-in-law, Forest LeBlanc.
Pallbearers will be Lane LeBlanc, Ricky LeBlanc, Terry LeBlanc, Kenneth Borel, Lannie Buteau, and Martin Bastanzuri.
