Pierre D Gallet

Lydia - Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, October 21, 2015, at St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Lydia, for Pierre D. Gallet, 73, who passed away on Saturday, October 17, 2015, New Iberia. Interment will follow in St. Nicholas Cemetery in Patoutville. Deacon Theo Landry will officiate. A gathering of family and friends will be Tuesday from 2:30 PM until 8:30 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 PM Tuesday. Visitation will continue on Wednesday from 8:00 AM until 9:15 AM. A native of Kaplan and a resident of Lydia, Mr. Gallet was born on October 20, 1941, to Theogane and Ozite Gallet, and was retired from Bayou Pipe. He enjoyed gardening, and spending time with his family and friends. Survivors include his wife Marie Derouen Gallet of Lydia; sons, David Gallet and Dexter Gallet both of Lydia; sisters, Olite Thibodeaux and husband Wilmer "Black" of Saint Martinville, and Theresa Lasseigne and husband Bill of New Iberia. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Wallace Gallet, Curly Gallet, and Curlise Gallet.
