Henderson - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am ;on Wednesday, August 1, 2012, at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Henderson, for Preston Joseph Courville, 74, who passed away on Monday, July 30, 2012. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home in Henderson from 10:00 am on Tuesday and continue until 10:30 am on Wednesday. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm on Tuesday. Fr. Keith Landry will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Scriptures will be read by Ray Courville and Jacklyn Courville. Interment will follow at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery in Henderson. Mr. Courville was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Henderson, where he served as an Usher and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He loved the outdoors, and especially enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping, as well as spending time visiting with his family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Yola Bergeron Courville of Henderson; four sons, Ronnie (Nanette) Courville of Breaux Bridge, Ricky (Lisa) Courville of Parks, Randy Courville and Ray Courville, both of Henderson; two brothers, Leus "Dube" (Charlene) Courville and John Courville, all of Henderson; his sister, Irene Bergeron of Henderson; his grandchildren, Jacklyn Courville, Kassy Casey, Damian Courville, Jessica Racca, Brady Bonin, Dillon Courville, Taylar Rae Courville, Tyler Courville, and Ricky Courville; and his great grandchildren, Raegan Potier, Trinity Potier, Nicholas Potier, Paige Picard, Payton Picard, Bailey Vice, Alyssa Casey, Brielle Casey, Madison Racca, Athen Racca, ;Ian Courville, Aiden Courville, and Jace Bonin. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jean and Alcide Thibodeaux Courville; two brothers, Alton "Mayon" and Joseph Abel Courville; his sister, Helen Courville Collette; his sister-in-law, Ezore Robin Courville; and brother-in-law, Earnest Bergeron. Pallbearers will be Ricky Courville, Nick Potier, Tyler Courville, Damian Courville, Dillon Courville, and Brady Bonin. Honorary pallbearers will be Mark Casey, Shelby Cormier, and Ross Goulas.
