Cecilia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am, on Saturday, February 20, 2016, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cecilia, for Quinn John Dejean, 38, who passed away on Tuesday, February 16, 2016, at Lafayette General Medical Center.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 11:00 am until 10:00 pm on Friday, and continue on Saturday at 7:00 am until 10:45 am, at Pellerin Funeral Home in Cecilia. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Friday.
Fr. David Broussard will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge.
Quinn was a member of The Mystic Krewe of Apollo de Lafayette and he was an It-Works distributor. Quinn volunteered for many organizations such as, Festival International de Louisiane and Festivals Acadiens et Croles. If Lafayette had a festival, Quinn was sure to be in attendance. He enjoyed entertaining his friends and being the center of attention. Quinn had an infectious smile that would illuminate a room and he always made sure that he lived life to the fullest. He will be remembered as a handsome, kind, friendly, and giving man, and for the love he had for everyone he met. Quinn never met a stranger and he will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his parents, Ronald and LeeAnna Dejean of Cecilia, LA; brothers, Neil Dejean and wife Leslie of Duson, LA, Shane Dejean of Cecilia, LA, Terry Dejean and wife Vickie of Batesville, AR and Ryan Dejean of Alexandria, LA; nephews, Nicholas Dejean of Duson, LA and Benjamin Dejean of DeRidder, LA; and nieces, Lindsey Dejean of Lafayette, LA and Gracie Dejean of Duson, LA.
He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Agnes and Altheon Hebert; and paternal grandparents, Yola and Dudley Dejean.
Pallbearers will be Neil, Terry, Shane and Ryan Dejean, Lee Simms, and Shane Menkiewicz.
Honorary pallbearer will be Mia Roy.
