Rachel Ann Latiolais Castille

Catahoula - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, June 17, 2020, at St. Rita Catholic Church in Catahoula for Rachel Ann Latiolais Castille, 58, who passed away on Monday, June 15, 2020, at her residence. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Dion Hall from 9:30 am until 1:30 pm on Wednesday, June 17, 2020. A rosary will be prayed at 1:30 pm on Wednesday. Rev. Bill Melancon will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at Our Lady of the Lake Cemetery in Catahoula. Rachel was a devout Catholic and parishioner of St. Rita Catholic Church. She was known as a 2nd mom to many and was always willing to lend her help to others in need. Rachel was a wonderful wife and sister and she loved being surrounded by her family. She enjoyed cooking, doing crafts, and gardening. Rachel will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Jody Castille; sisters, Karen Latiolais Melancon and husband Stuart, Annette Latiolais Fuselier and husband Augie, Jackie Latiolais Angelle and husband Dwayne, and Allison Latiolais; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Allen "Beno" Latiolais and Lucille Theriot Latiolais; maternal grandparents, Louis and Anna Menard Theriot; and paternal grandparents, Phermine and Germaine Doucet Latiolais. Pallbearers will be Myles Melancon, Russell Castille, Jamie Castille, Matt Melancon, Roy Fuselier, and Matt Castille. Pellerin Funeral Home (337-332-2111) is in charge of arrangements.
