Rachel Lee Blanchard Johnson

Henderson - Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Friday, April 25, 2008, at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Henderson, for Rachel Lee Blanchard Johnson, 40, who passed away on Tuesday, April 22, 2008 at Lafayette General Medical Center. Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in Hendeson. Fr. Chanh Nguyen, Pastor of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, will officiate at the funeral Mass. ?Readers will be Kerry Breaux and Tina Suire. Rachel enjoyed reading, computer games, crossword puzzles and crocheting. ?She loved spending time with her family and friends. ?Rachel's children always came first in her life and she loved them unconditionally. Survivors include her companion, Bryon Guidry, of Henderson; three sons, Jonathan Blanchard, Jude Johnson, and Jacob Guidry, all of Henderson; three daughters, Joanna Wiltz, of Cecilia, Jenna Johnson and Jaylin Guidry, both of Henderson; her father, John Blanchard, Sr., of Henderson; one brother, John Blanchard, Jr., of New Iberia; and two sisters, Brittny Huval and her husband, Lloyd, Jr., of Henderson, and Mitzi Robicheaux and her husband, Anthony, of Cecilia. She was preceded in death by her mother, Joanna M. Blanchard; and her husband, Alphonse Johnson. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 11 a.m. on Thursday and continue until 10:30 a.m. on Friday. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. on Thursday. Pallbearers will be John Blanchard, Jr., Lennis Bellot, Kelly Latiolais, Randy Latiolais, Jude Johnson, and Jonathan Blanchard. Honorary pallbearer will be her father, John Blanchard, Sr. Pellerin Funeral Home of Henderson is in charge of arrangements.
