VIEW VIDEO TRIBUTE St. Martinville - Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Monday, September 8, 2008, at Notre Dame Catholic Church in St. Martinville, for Rachel Annette Norman, 45, who passed away on Thursday, September 4, 2008 at Amelia Manor Nursing Home in Lafayette. Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in St. Martinville. Fr. Augustinus, Fr. Justin and Deacon Jim Davis will officiate at the funeral Mass. Altar Servers will be Alexander and Taylor Richard. Scripiture readings will be read by Dean Davis and Yolanda Peterman. Gifts will be presented to the Altar by Mariah Peterman, Lexi, Lauren, Katie, and Meagan Richard. Rachel was a client of the ARC of St. Martinville for many years. She loved singing Country Music and playing the piano. She enjoyed visiting with her family and friends, but most especially with her favorite aunt, "Taunte Plin." She is survived by two sisters, Margaret Richard and her husband, Paul, of St. Martinville, and Rita Canonge, of Breaux Bridge; three aunts, Lillian Lastrappes, of St. Martinville, Laura Aubry, of Broussard, and Eunice Melancon, of Port Arthur, TX; and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Curley and Lumanna Aubry Norman. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Notre Dame Catholic Church from 7 a.m. on Monday until time of service. A rosary will be recited at 9 a.m. Pellerin Funeral Home, 337.332.2111, is in charge of arrangements.
