Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 PM, Saturday, September 7, 2024, at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church for Rachelle Renee Daigle, 51, who passed away on Thursday, August 29, 2024, at Camelot Rehabilitation at Magnolia Park.

A visitation will take place at the funeral home in Breaux Bridge on Saturday, September 7, 2024, from 8:00 am to 11:45 am.

A rosary will be prayed at 10:30 am on Saturday.

Father Michael Richard will officiate at the Funeral Mass. The reader will be Troy Daigle.

Interment will follow at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery.

Rachelle was born on October 19, 1972, in Breaux Bridge. Rachelle was a vibrant and spirited soul whose laughter could brighten the darkest days. Known affectionately as her mother's baby girl, Rachelle's zest for life was infectious, making her a beloved presence in the lives of everyone who had the privilege to know her.

Rachelle was outgoing and vibrant, with a heart full of dreams. Her passion for life led her to embrace each day with enthusiasm and joy. She found immense pleasure in shopping sprees that turned ordinary afternoons into cherished memories. A trip to the casino was never just about the games for Rachelle; it was about the thrill of the experience and the laughter shared with her loved ones.

Traveling with the love of her life, Carl, brought her immeasurable happiness. Together, they explored new places and created beautiful memories, capturing moments that would linger in their hearts forever. Each journey was an adventure, and Rachelle approached each destination with open arms and a radiant smile, eager to soak in everything the world had to offer.

Family meant the world to Rachelle. She held a special place in her heart for her nieces and nephews, celebrating their milestones and supporting them in all their endeavors. To her, they were not just family but her pride and joy, embodying all the love she had to give. Rachelle's generosity, kindness, and unwavering support will forever be cherished by those she loved most.

She is survived by her mother, Adele Boyer Daigle; sisters, Deidra Vallot, Agnes Berard (Shelby) and Tina Daigle; brothers, Rev. Michael Daigle and Troy Daigle (Kelly); Godchildren, Brianna, Zoe and Kylie Theriot; a host of nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, George Carl Goudeau; and her father, Percy John Daigle.

Pallbearers will be Dustin Bergeron, Elijah Daigle, Bryce Daigle, Cody Theriot, Allen Chasteen and Shawn Romero.

Honorary pallbearers will be Brandon Berard, Brittany Theriot, Janna Chasteen and godchild, Ashley Romero.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Magnolia Estates for the great care and comfort until Rachelle was taken home.
