St. Martinville - A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM, on Thursday, February 9, 2023, at Pellerin Funeral Home in St. Martinville for Rae C. Gooch, 99, who passed away at St. Agnes Healthcare & Rehab Center.
A visitation will take place at the funeral home on Thursday from 8:30 AM to 11:00 AM.
Deacon Marcel "Butch" Hebert will officiate at the funeral service. Interment will follow at St. Michael Mausoleum.
Rae enjoyed listening to Country music, watching the news, and caring for her family.
She is survived by her son, Billy Ray (Nanette) Gooch; grandchildren, Jackie Gooch, Billy "BJ" (Julia) Gooch, and Kelly Gooch; great grandchildren, Sage (Maycii) Bonin, Jayden Nassans, Barkley Gooch, and Adele Gooch; and her great-great grandchildren, Brexlie Bonin and Hadlee Bonin.
She is preceded in death by her husband, David Roland "Billy" Gooch; parents, Hugh and Noelie Broussard Champagne; siblings, Edgar Champagne, Hugh Champagne, James Champagne, Hamay Champagne, Eunice Potier, Georgie Bienvenu, and Verna Bourque.
Pellerin Funeral Home (337-332-2111) is in charge of arrangements.
