Upon his discharge from the Navy, he came home and began farming, he also worked as a carpenter, an electrician, a plumber, a draftsman for Cecilia Lumber, and was a school bus driver for St. Martin Parish schools for numerous years. As a pastime, he enjoyed hunting and boat riding – he just loved being on the waters. Ralph will be remembered for his zest for life, rules for working hard, and his unconditional love for his family.
