Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Wednesday, July 9, 2008, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Ralph LeBlanc, 72, who passed away on Monday, July 7, 2008 at his residence.
Entombment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge.
Rev. Fr. Louis Allen Breaux, Associate Pastor of St. Bernard Church, will officiate at the funeral Mass and conduct the funeral service.
Mr. LeBlanc was retired with the State of Louisiana - Dept. of Highway & Transportation for 15 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping and was a member of Lake Berard Hunting Club.
Survivors include his four sons, Gary LeBlanc and his wife, Susan, Kern LeBlanc and his wife, Shirlene, Terry LeBlanc and his wife, Karen, and Kirby LeBlanc, all of Breaux Bridge; one sister, Georgie Robin, of Breaux Bridge; eight grandchildren, Jonathan LeBlanc, Brandon LeBlanc, Skylar LeBlanc, Cody LeBlanc, Jared Broussard, Trae' LeBlanc, Brooke LeBlanc, and Stevie Champagne; and three great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Webb LeBlanc; his parents, Joseph and Elodie L. LeBlanc; two brothers, Joseph "Tunie" and Roy LeBlanc; and one sister, Gertrude Lalonde.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. on Tuesday and continue at 7 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday.
A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. on Tuesday.
Pallbearers will be Kern LeBlanc, Brandon LeBlanc, Cody LeBlanc, Trae' LeBlanc, Jonathan LeBlanc, and Terry LeBlanc.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jared Broussard, Kirby LeBlanc, and Gary LeBlanc.
Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
