Coteau - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Tuesday, March 2, 2021, at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Coteau for Randy Edward Elias, 52, who passed away on Thursday, February 25, 2021, at Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center. Entombment will follow in the St. Anne Cemetery in Youngsville. Rev. Brian Harrington will be the Celebrant and Rev. Taj Glodd and Rev. Garrett Savoie will Con-Celebrate. A gathering of family and friends will be Monday from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Pellerin Funeral Home. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm Monday. Visitation will continue on Tuesday from 8:00 am until 10:00 am. Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, face masks and social distancing are required. A resident of Youngsville, Randy was born on September 11, 1968 to A.C. Elias and Margaret LeBlanc Elias, and was a 1986 graduate of Catholic High. He was the owner of Sentry Defense Indoor Shooting Range in Youngsville, and had previously worked in the oil and gas industry for over 20 years. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and spending time with his family and friends, especially his granddaughters, Ellie and Addison. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Connie Elias of Youngsville; sons, Brandon Elias and wife Shelby of Youngsville, and Brett Elias and companion Brittany of Lafayette; mother, Margaret Elias of Youngsville; sisters, Kimberly Elias Bryan and husband Michael of New Iberia, and Jennifer Elias Dore and husband Grant of Parker, Colorado; two brothers, Michael Elias and wife Sari of Magnolia, Texas, and Scott Elias and wife Aubrey of Conroe, Texas; and granddaughters, Ellie Elias, and Addison Elias; mother-in-law, Molly Comeaux Bridges and husband Greg; father-in-law, Carroll Boutte and wife Phyllis; sister-in-law, Tammy Boutte Prejean and husband Burc; brother-in-law, Randall Boutte and companion Tammy; and all of his wonderful nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, A.C. Elias; and grandparents, Randolph LeBlanc, Mary Louise LeBlanc, Edward Elias, and Edith Elias. Pallbearers will be Brandon Elias, Brett Elias, Michael Elias, Scott Elias, Grant Dore, and Randall Boutte. Wheeling you into surgery, you told me I’ll see you on the other side. I know what you meant. You made peace with God a good while back. You were tired. But you kept fighting for us. The last words you mumbled to me yesterday was “I love you”. Oh how many times we’ve said those words. Today you couldn’t open your eyes. But I know you heard every word we said. You coded and they brought you back to life. But a short time later, you died in my arms right where I wanted you to be. It was what we always wanted. I just wasn’t able to leave with you. But I will be back in yours arms one day and we will be together forever. Thank you for loving me the way that you did and for being my best friend. Thank you for being the most amazing husband, father, and grandfather. Since we were 15, we learned how to love together, how to work together, how to grow together, how to ride together, how to travel together. We did everything together. I was truly blessed when God gave me you. You gave me 37 amazing years of my life. You were the rock of our family. You were the corner post that held the fence up. Your love is what’s going to keep me going. I will never ever be able to love again. My heart will forever be broken. Randy and I showed everyone what TRUE LOVE is and we showed everyone how easy it is to love. What Faith is all about. What Hope is all about. What Love is all about. What Family is all about. What being happy is all about. We loved with all our hearts. We Believed in each other. We have an abundance of Friends that we made Family. We Trusted in God. We started a True Family. Everything you ever worked for was to give your boys a better life. You raised two fine young men. They will continue on with your legacy. They will take care of their mother, they will take care of the range, and teach their daughters everything you taught them. You loved your granddaughters like they were your own. Your granddaughters were your world. I will never let them forget you. I will cherish all the great memories we made as a couple and as a family forever. We had so much more to do together, but cancer was brought on six years ago. Our plans were cut way to short. Every day that goes by from now on will be one day closer to you. The road will be tough for me but God is my only answer. When I get there, you be ready, we will start right where we left off and live in paradise forever and ever. Amen. I know you and your dad will be watching over us and will guide us on where we need to go from here. You know I love you with all my heart. And boy do I have a big heart. You will always have my heart. My heart will never stop aching. Time will never heal it. I’ll wake up every morning but it will never be the same. When I go to bed at night, it will never be the same. I’ll see you on the other side my love. I’ll call you every single day to tell you I Love You. I’ll still cook for you every day and fix your plate. Until we meet again, I love you with all my heart. Fly High and Rest In Peace My Love.
