Lydia – A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm, on Thursday, July 6, 2023, at First Methodist Church, in New Iberia, for Randy Anthony Thibodeaux, 67, of Lydia, who passed away on Monday, July 3, 2023. Interment will be at a later date.
Pastor Paul Fontenot will officiate.
Visitation will be Thursday, from 9:00 am until 1:30 pm, at Pellerin Funeral Home.
A lifelong resident of Lydia, Randy was born on October 21, 1955. Randy never knew a stranger and everyone that knew him, loved him. He worked in the oil and gas industry for the majority of his life, having mentored many along his way. An avid deer hunter, Randy never passed up a chance to jump in the boat to go fishing with his son-in-law, Troy. He dearly loved and enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great grandson. However, Randy’s true love was his wife, Donna. If you saw one, you saw the other. They did everything together. He will be terribly missed by all.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Donna Frank Thibodeaux; mother, Rita Savoy Thibodeaux; daughter, Katherine Broussard (Troy); sister, Rosie Derise; brothers, Russell Thibodeaux, Jr. (Anne), and Richard Thibodeaux (Lorie); grandchildren, Kiersten Trahan (Tyson), Bailey Thibodeaux, and Sophie Thibodeaux; and a great grandson, Carter Broussard.
He was preceded in death by his father, Russell Thibodeaux, Sr.; father and mother-in-law, Edward and Betty Frank; brother-in-law, Rocky Derise, maternal and paternal grandparents; and a son, Samuel “Sammy” Thibodeaux.
Pallbearers will be Troy Broussard, Rusty Thibodeaux, Richard Thibodeaux, Ross Derise, Travis Thibodeaux, and Dean Broussard.
Honorary pallbearers include Carter Broussard, Billy Savoy, Chuck Romero, Mike Burke, Ricky Collins, and Julian Frank.
