Ravis Belaire

New Iberia - Funeral services will be at 4:00 PM, Friday, May 3, 2013, at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia, for Ravis J. Belaire, Sr., 64, who died on Wednesday, May 1, 2013 in New Iberia. Deacon Chris Doumit will officiate. A gathering of family and friends will be Friday from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home, in New Iberia. Born on August 24, 1948, Mr. Belaire was the son of Leon and Hazel Laperouse Belaire. He worked in the oilfield for many years, and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Survivors include his wife, Barbara LeBlanc Belaire of New Iberia; sons, Ravis Belaire, Jr. and wife Tina of St. Martinville, Shawn Belaire and fianc Amy Verdine of New Iberia, Chad Belaire and wife Mindy of Loreauville, Blaine Belaire of New Iberia; daughters, Monica Broussard and husband Gregory of New Iberia, April Blanchard and husband Troy of New Iberia; brothers, Ricky Belaire and wife Charlene of Parks, Chris Belaire and wife Michelle of St. Martinville; sister, Inez Marie Belaire Breaux and husband Randy of Breaux Bridge; 16 grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Reid Belaire and Peyton.
