Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2 pm on Friday, December 7, 2018, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge for Ray John Daigle, 77, who passed away on Tuesday, December 4, 2018, at his residence.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 9:00 am until 10:00 pm on Thursday and continue on Friday at 8:00 am until 1:30 pm.
A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Thursday by Deacon Ken Soignier.
Rev. Garrett Savoie will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge.
Ray enjoyed fishing, hunting, working in his shop, and visiting with his family and friends. Ray was a Boat Captain for many years and worked hard to provide a good life for his family. He loved being on the water, while steering everything he carried safely to its final destination.
He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Marjorie Belaire Daigle; son, Kevin Daigle and companion, Jenna Lineske of Breaux Bridge; daughters, Lou Ella Hollingsworth and husband Timothy of Haslet, TX and Angela Daigle of Cade; grandchildren, Brandon Hawkins, Joshua Hawkins, Alicia H. Beatrice, Emily Hollingsworth, Meagan Richard, Kody Daigle, and Ryder Lineske; and his great grandchildren, Maison Hawkins and India Edwards.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Birdie Benoit Daigle; and his sister, Lou Ella Daigle.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Daigle, William Dugas, Ray Noel, Tyler Courville, Roland "Brother" LeBlanc Jr., and Louis Patin.
Honorary pallbearers will be his grandchildren.
