Arnaudville - Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, July 1, 2006, at St. Francis Regis ?Catholic Church in Arnaudville for Ray Lormand, 76, who died Saturday, June 24, 2006 at Lafayette General Medical Center in Lafayette.
Interment will be in St. Francis Regis Cemetery ?in Arnaudville.
Mr. Lormand retired with Tidewater Marine after years of service. ?He was also a member of the VFW.
Survivors include his wife, Sylvia Lormand of Breaux Bridge; his son, Vincent R. Lormand and his wife, Nina of Cecilia; his daughters, Linda Shannon and her husband, Mitch of Panama City, FL, Tammy Adams and her husband, Gerard of Cut Off, and Vicki Plaisted and her husband, Robert of Panama City, FL; his step-sons, Tony Chance and his wife, Kathy of North Carolina, Ronald Chance and his wife, April of Lafayette, Dickie Guidry of Morgan City, Clovis J. Guidry of Breaux Bridge; his step-daughters, Alice Hebert, Lucille Kidder and Helen Stelly, all of Morgan City, and Donna DeSanctis and her husband, Paul DeSanctis, Sr. of Philadelphia, PA; eighteen grandchildren, Kristen Thibodeaux and her husband, Scott, Tiffany Crawford, Christopher Crawford, Ryan Crawford, Brody Adams, Casey Adams, Devon Adams, Angela Hebert and her husband, Kevin, Shawn Youngblood, Tamara Chance, Crystal Gray and her husband, Jake, Johnes Chance, Paul DeSanctis, Jr., John DeSanctis, Cameron Chance, Ethan Chance, Newton Pittman-Lormand, and Deoniel Abanes; and three great-grandchildren, Chelsea Hebert, Trevor Hebert, and Griffin Hebert.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Theodule and Olympe Olivier Lormand; his sisters, Rhea Soileau, Vesta Arnaud and Geraldine Latiolais; his second wife, Edith G. Lormand; his step-daughter, Verna Mae Guidry; and his step-sons, Rogers and Rodney Guidry.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 5:00 p.m. Thursday, June 29, 2006, and continue until time of service.
A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m., Friday.
