St.Martinville - Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., on Friday, October 26, 2012, at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church in St. Martinville, for Ray Allen 'T-Ray' Thibodeaux, 67, who passed away on Tuesday, October 23, 2012. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 4 p.m. until 10 p.m. on Thursday and continue on Friday at 7 a.m. until 10:30 a.m., at Pellerin Funeral Home in St. Martinville. A rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. on Thursday. Fr. Ed Degeyter will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Scripture Readings will be read by Jennifer Thibodeaux Sands and Liz Landry. Gift Bearers will be his grandchildren. Entombment will follow at St. Michael Mausoleum. 'T-Ray,' as he was better known to his family and friends, was a small business owner and welder by trade who worked hard to provide a good life for his family. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother; also known to be a 'people-person,' he was a friend to many. 'T-Ray' was an avid sports fan who enjoyed watching football and swimming in his free-time. Survivors include his wife, Georgia Latiolais Thibodeaux of St. Martinville; one son, Ray (Andrea Boggs) Thibodeaux of St. Martinville, three daughters, Maria T. Bertrand of Lafayette, Rachel Thibodeaux and companion, Larry "Possum" Bertrand, and Michele T. (Joseph) Romero, all of St. Martinville; four brothers, Harry C. (Judy) Thibodeaux, Jr. of Illinois, Terry Thibodeaux, Gene (Tina) Thibodeaux, all of St. Martinville, and Donnie Thibodeaux of Illinois; two sisters, Faye Robichaux of Carolina, and Mary "Deannie" Thibodeaux of St. Martinville; and five grandchildren, Forest and Brooke Bertrand, Evan and Ethan Thibodeaux, and Joshua Romero. He is preceded in death by his father, Harry C. Thibodeaux, Sr.; his mother, Irene Duplantis Thibodeaux; two brothers, Glenn and Melvin Thibodeaux; and his son-in-law, Todd Bertrand. Pallbearers will be Forest Bertrand, Larry 'Possum' Bertrand, James Rigney, Ray Thibodeaux, Nolan "Noonie" Duplantis and Charles Morvant. Honorary Pallbearers will be Evan Thibodeaux, Louis Devillier, Joshua Romero, Ethan Thibodeaux and Lynn Gauthier. Pellerin Funeral Homeof St. Martinville is in charge of arrangements.
