Breaux Bridge - A Memorial Service will be held at 5:00 pm on Sunday, May 19, 2019, at Pellerin Funeral Home in Breaux Bridge for Raymond Paul Lanclos, 70, who passed away on Thursday, May 16, 2019, at his residence.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 12:00 pm until 5:00 pm on Sunday.
Deacon Ken Soignier will officiate at the Memorial Service.
Raymond was the owner of Lanclos Concrete Works for 45 years and also owned Lanclos Video Land and Video City. He enjoyed working in his garden, fishing, cooking and barbecuing. He will be remembered as a “Jack-of-all-trades”, always repairing someone’s VCR, and his eye to detail in his craftsmanship.
He is survived by his loving spouse of 28 years, Sandra Lanclos; sons, John Lanclos and wife Rhonda of Carencro and Ross J. Lanclos of Lafayette; daughter, Kim Prejean of Carencro; brothers, Kenneth Lanclos and wife Earline of Church Point, Clarence Lanclos of Moyock, NC, Michael Lanclos and wife Gloria of Carencro and Tommy Lanclos and wife Kathy of Sunset; sisters, Gale Noble and husband Thomas of Butte LaRose, Ranella Richard and husband Jimmy of Lafayette, and Sue Thomas and husband Dwain of Carencro; and his grandchildren, Kristyn Chiavillier and spouse Ella, Angel Dupuis, Bryce Lanclos and Isaiah Labbe, as well as many nieces and nephews. All the children in the neighborhood referred to him as uncle Raymond, while the adults called him daddy Raymond.
He was preceded in death by his father, Wilson Lanclos, mother, Gladys Lanclos, brother, Linton Lanclos, and the mother of his children, Gayle Lanclos.
Donations may be made to the family, in lieu of flowers.
