Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Friday, December 2, 2005, at Pellerin Funeral Home Chapel in Breaux Bridge for Raymond Patin, 78, who died Wednesday, November 29, 2005 at his residence in Breaux Bridge.
Entombment will be in St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 ~ Mausoleum in Breaux Bridge.
Mr. Patin was a veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict, having served in the U. S. Marines. He was a retired Sergeant with the Louisiana State Police and also a retired tug boat captain. He was a member of the Louisiana State Police Reserve, Parks First Baptist Church, Travel Supreme Club 1519, USMC Devil Dogs Pound - 182, GWRRA 13982 Chapter B - Lifetime, Blue Knights Motorcycle Club LA 1, USMC League Gen. W. F. McLlhenny - Det. 811- Lifetime, Good Sam LA. 70758 Chapter 4 - Lifetime, Friends International #74 Camping Club, American Legion Post 133, Cabriolet Club Int. #38, Louisiana State Troopers Association, The American Association of State Troopers LA 0085-R, Louisiana Peace Officers Association, National Rifle Association, and the Freightliners RV Haulers Club #42.
Survivors include his wife, Lucy Hooper Patin of Breaux Bridge; his sons, Tony Ray Patin and his wife, Dianne of Breaux Bridge and Robert Louis Patin and his wife, Martina of Seven Springs, NC; his daughters, Carolyn Patin Anselm and her husband, Jarrod and Judy Patin, all of Breaux Bridge; his sisters, Euma Foreman of Bridge City, TX and Eula Patin of Breaux Bridge; thirteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Esperance Poche Patin; and his brothers, Carol Lee and Louis Joseph Patin.
The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 9:00 a.m. ~ 10:00 p.m. on Thursday and continue at 9:00 a.m. on Friday until time of service.
Pallbearers will be the Louisiana State Police.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
