Raynaldo Markieth Sampy, Sr. entered into eternal rest on Friday, August 18, 2017. His final days were spent surrounded by his father and oldest sons; his other children, brother, family and friends that he had touched in some way throughout his memorable life.
Raynaldo Markieth Sampy was born on April 13, 1973, in Lafayette, Louisiana to Eloise Williams Sampy and James Sampy (aka Delton Joseph/T-June). His favorite pastime was riding his bike, and performing flatland tricks. When he met pro rider Dennis Mccoy, he wanted to be a pro BMX rider. He also tried to start a vinyl wrap business covering cars. Although it didn't take off as intended, he later became emancipated and worked with his father in the lawn care business.
Survivors include his mother Eloise Williams Sampy of Katy, TX; his father James Sampy of Duson, LA; one brother Damon J. Sampy and his wife Stephanie of Katy, TX; four sons Aaron M and Raynaldo M Sampy, Jr. of Lafayette, LA; Donald J and Joseph M Sampy and step-son Yashua Stevens of Henderson, LA; a host aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Armstead and Lucille Skinner Delafose Williams and paternal grandparents Milton Joseph and Agnes Kilchrist Sampy.
The family chose cremation in accordance with his wishes. No services will be held at this time. Memorial contributions can be made in Raynaldo Markieth Sampy, Sr.'s name to Damon Sampy.
