Rebecca Touchet Hulin

New Iberia - Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, July 14, 2020, at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia, for Rebecca Touchet Hulin, 63, who passed away on Saturday, July 11, 2020, at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center. Entombment will follow at Holy Family Cemetery. A gathering of family and friends will be at Pellerin Funeral Home from 8:00 am until 1:00 pm on Tuesday. A lifelong resident of New Iberia, Rebecca Ann Touchet Hulin was born on February 13, 1957 to the late Verdy Joseph Touchet, Sr. and Esther Marie Landry Touchet. She loved camping, playing pokeno, dancing, going to Smiley's, and listening to the police scanner with her friend, Ms. Pearl, but what she cherished most was time spent with family and friends, especially Loggie (her heart). Mrs. Hulin is survived by her loving husband, Julius Hulin of New Iberia; daughters, Alicia (Loggen) Dugas of New Iberia, and Helena (Scott) Stoutes of Maurice; grandsons, Loggen Dugas, Jr., and Seth Stoutes; siblings, Linda Romero, Shelia (Loc) Touchet, Verdy (Genny) Touchet, Jr., and Chad Wallace, all of New Iberia; 27 nieces and nephews; 40 great nieces and nephews; and numerous godchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Barbara Gary and Sheryl Chanthaphone; a great niece, Macy Migues; maternal grandparents, Bertha and Dupre Landry; paternal grandparents, Clarphie and Esperie Touchet; sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Hulin and Helen Hulin; brother-in-law, Keith Hulin; parents-in-law, Leo and Elaine Hulin; and a nephew, Walter "Peelo" Hulin. Pallbearers will be Seth Stoutes, Johnny Migues, Dustin Touchet, Peter Chanthaphone, Aiden Touchet, and Hunter Theriot. Honorary pallbearers are Loggen Dugas, Jr. and Jake Touchet.
