Breaux Bridge - A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 am, on Friday, February 1, 2013, at Pellerin Funeral Home Chapel in Breaux Bridge, for Rebellion 'R.J.' 'Boo-Boo' Durio, Jr. "R.J." was 81 years old, he passed away at his residence in Breaux Bridge, on Wednesday, January 30, 2013, after a battle with cancer. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 2:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Thursday and continue at 7:00 am until 10:45 am on Friday. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm on Thursday. Rev. Allen Breaux will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2. Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Aislara "Rae" Robin Durio; his oldest son, Jimmy Durio and his wife, Gene; his daughter, Donna D. Landry and her husband, Lennis; his youngest son, Kim Durio and his wife, Dixie, all of Breaux Bridge; five grandchildren, Megan Durio, Matt and Grant Landry, Misti D. Delahoussaye, and Lee Durio; and four great grandchildren, Emerson and Breaker Landry, and Kai and Kamile Delahoussaye. R.J. was preceded in death by his parents, Alta R. Durio and Rebellion Durio, Sr.; two brothers, Harold Durio and Will Earl Durio; and one sister, Wilda Melancon. He is a graduate of Southwestern Louisiana Institute which is now U.L. of Lafayette, in 1957. He worked as a financial administrator in the healthcare industry. R.J. was past President of H.F.M.A. (Healthcare Financial Management Association). He joined H.F.M.A. in 1975 and was the oldest lifetime member. He had served for 5 years in the United States Air Force, which included the Korean War. R.J. enjoyed many years of camping with friends and fishing. Pallbearers will be Matt and Grant Landry, Lee Durio, Shawn Anslem, Todd Delahoussaye, and Larry Durio. Honorary pallbearers will be Thomas Kliebert and Norris Theriot.
