Rena Heflin

New Iberia - Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM, Monday, December 3, 2012, at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia, for Rena Champagne Heflin, 79, who died on Friday, November 30, 2012, in New Iberia. Interment will follow in Beau Pre Cemetery, in Jeanerette Rev. Ed Degeyter will officiate. A gathering of family and friends will be Monday from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd, in New Iberia. A rosary will be prayed at 11:00 AM Monday. A native of Youngsville, Mrs. Heflin was born on December 12, 1932 to Eddie and Edia Decou Champagne. She enjoyed gardening and keeping active. Survivors include her daughters, Tina Lopez and husband Gerald of New Iberia, Ginger Bourque and husband Rodney of New Iberia, Jennifer Adams of Alexandria; sons, Scott James Louviere, Rod Anthony Louviere, and Russ Joseph Louviere all of New Iberia; sister, Bea Lopez of New Iberia; brothers, Curley Champagne of New Iberia, Harry Champagne of Florida; 13 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren; Leslie Champagne of New Iberia, and Rosa Mae Adams of Mississippi, who were like a brother and sister. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, S.J. Louviere and Paul Heflin; sons, Danny Joseph Louviere and Tod Patrick Louviere; twin infant granddaughters, Shantelle and Shelly Lopez.
