Parks - Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., on Saturday, October 2, 2010, at St. Louis Chapel in Parks, for Renella Marie Washington Narcisse, 68, who passed away on Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at Louisiana Extended Care Hospital in Lafayette.
Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge.
Fr. Stephen Ugwu will officiate at the Funeral Mass.
Renella was a parishioner of St. Louis Chapel in Parks for many years. A warm and gentle woman, she welcomed everyone into her home to enjoy her fresh homemade pies, which she loved to bake and share with her family and friends. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her mother, Vivian Ledet Washington; three sons, Wallace Narcisse, Jr., Command Sergeant Major Jonathan Narcisse, Sr. and wife, Theresa, and Curtis Payne and wife, Mary; three daughters, Angela Randle and husband, Gregory, Melissa Narcisse, and Dedra Borel and husband, Darold; a step daughter, Stephanie Johnson; one brother, Leroy Washington and wife, Jacqueline; three sisters, Mary Joyce John, Marion Tatum and husband, John, and Evola Derouselle and husband, Earl; 10 grandchildren, Darold Borel, Jr., Bianca Narcisse, Alexis Randle, Destiny Borel, Jonathan Narcisse, Jr., Meghan Narcisse, Gregory Randle, II, Mariah Narcisse, Darius Borel, and Jamila Harness; and 1 great grandchild, Kayli Hulin Borel.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace Narcisse, Sr.; her father, Sidney Washington; and a sister, Anna Rose Washington.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 7:30 a.m. until 10:15 a.m. on Saturday, with a recitation of the Rosary at 8 a.m.
