Arnaudville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 pm on Monday, June 7, 2021, at St. John Francis Regis Catholic Church in Arnaudville for Reo A. Taylor, 90, who passed away on Friday, June 4, 2021.The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 11:00 am until 9:00 pm on Sunday, and continue on Monday at 8:00 am until 12:30 pm. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Sunday, by his niece Diane Richard.Rev. Gregory Cormier will officiate at the Mass of Christian Burial. Readers will be his granddaughters, Kimberly East, Erica LaLonde and Ashlie Guidry. Gift bearers will be his granddaughters, Natosha Tabor and Lyndsay Taylor.Interment will follow at St. John Francis Regis Cemetery in Arnaudville. Reo was born January 11, 1931 in Arnaudville. He worked on dredge boats all of his career. He retired after 38 years. Reo enjoyed doing yard work, having a good meal at his favorite restaurant, Myran's and family reunions. His pride and joy was his family and he was extremely proud of each every one of his children. He will be deeply missed. He is survived by his wife of 69 ½ years, Elsie Jane Bergeron Taylor; sons, Kenneth Taylor (Sandra), Daniel Taylor, John Taylor (Mary); daughters, Roma Angelle (Kermit), Florence Taylor, Marla Baumboree (Glenn); 16 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild on the way.He was preceded in death by his parents, Jerome Taylor, Sr. and Aurelia Guilbeau Taylor; two sons, Anthony Taylor, Sr. and Marshall Taylor; two half brothers, Regis Taylor and Jerome Taylor, Jr.; and two sisters, Genevieve Degeyter and Wavia Richard. Pallbearers will be his grandsons T.J.
