Reuben Talley

St. Martinville - Reuben "Beno" Talley, 82, passed away on Thursday, May 30, 2013. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Monday, June 3, 2013, at Pellerin Funeral Home in St. Martinville from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm, with a rosary being prayed at 6:30 pm. 'Beno,' as he was well-known by everyone, was the proud owner and operator of Benos Steakhouse and Hotel in St. Martinville for over 50 years. He honorably served his country in the United States Navy. He is survived by three children, John "Tat" Talley, and Jamie Jude Talley, and their mother, Barbara Stoutes, and Deborah F. Eastin, and two grandchildren, Matthew Burke Eastin and Meggin Elizabeth Eastin. He is also survived by a dear friend and caregiver, Lou Melancon.He is preceded in death by his parents, John William "Yum" and Eve Latiolais Talley; and three brothers, Adley, John, and Bennett Talley.
