Rhena Labbe Auguillard

Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, February 21, 2009, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge for Rhena Labbe Auguillard, 89, who passed away on Monday, February 16, 2009 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette. Entombment will follow at St. Bernard Mausoleum No. 2 in Breaux Bridge. Father James Fallon will officiate at the funeral Mass. Scriptures will be read by Natika Vassel and her husband, Tommie. Mrs. Auguillard was a parishioner of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. A devout Catholic, she enjoyed praying the Rosary and attending Mass where she prayed for those with petitions. She loved to cook and enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. Survivors include three sons, Gilbert Auguillard, of Breaux Bridge, John Auguillard (Florence), of Leonville, and Ralph Auguillard (Paula), of Houston, TX; four daughters, Anna Louise Arceneaux (Felix), of Breaux Bridge, Marie A. Manego, of New Orleans, Rhena Louvier (Donald), of New Orleans, and Helen Chaisson (Clarence), of Houston, TX; a sister, Eunice George, of New Iberia; 15 grandchildren, Jazelle, Phillip, Jonathan, Thaddeus, Kendall, Jose, Natika, Michelle, Simone, Donald, Monique, Gerard, Brian, Shawn, and Kevin; and 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Batiste Auguillard; her parents, Paul and Olamp Norman Labbe; a son, Raymond Auguillard; and a daughter, Lois Sonnier. The family requested that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 7 a.m. on Saturday and continue until 11:30 a.m. A rosary will be recited at 9 a.m. on Saturday. Honored to serve as her pallbearers, are her grandchildren. Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
