Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am, on Wednesday, July 10, 2013, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Rhena Delahoussaye Huval, 95, who passed away on Sunday, July 7, 2013. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 4:00 pm until 10:00 pm on Tuesday, and continue at 7:00 am until 9:30 am on Wednesday. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm on Tuesday. Rev. Paul LaFleur will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Scriptures will be read by Lisa Dohmann and Jan Hayes. Gift Bearers will be Diana LeBlanc, Lisa Dohmann, and Susan Broussard. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge. Mrs. Huval had an incredible love for the Lord and her faith kept her strong-willed. She loved her pets, especially Sweetie, who was like her child. Rhena loved gardening and cooking. She cherished the times she could spend with her family and friends, and loved the holidays, but Christmas was her favorite. She is survived by two brothers, Dutel Delahoussaye of St. Martinville and Dudley Delahoussaye of Baker; and two sisters, Beatrice Babin and Hilda Dohmann, both of St. Martinville. She is preceded in death by husband, Harris 'Bill' Huval; her parents, Alexis and Natalie Landry Delahoussaye; two brothers, Andr and Desiree "Tit" Delahoussaye; three sisters, Emily Tauzin, Maydell Landry, and Lydia Huval. Pallbearers will be Richard Dohmann, Larry Delahoussaye, Gerald 'T-Goo' Delahoussaye, Perry ; Delahoussaye, Danny Delahoussaye, and Bruin Hayes. Honorary pallbearers will be her two brothers, Dutel and Dudley Delahoussaye. Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
