New Iberia - Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, March 24, 2018, at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia for Richard Charles DeBlanc Jr., 58, who passed away on Thursday, March 22, 2018, in New Iberia. Interment will follow in the Migues Cemetery in Delcambre. Deacon Patrick Burke will officiate. A gathering of family and friends will be Saturday from 9:30 am until 1:00 pm at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia. A native and lifelong resident of New Iberia, Mr. DeBlanc, was born on January 8, 1960 to the late Richard DeBlanc, Sr. and Gladys LeBlanc DeBlanc. He worked for Thomas Tools and enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. Survivors include his sisters, Barbara DeBlanc of New Iberia, Susan Landry and husband Jerry of Delcambre; and a brother, Ronald Bourque, Sr. of Jeanerette. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Deanna DeBlanc Metz, Patricia DeBlanc; and brothers, Tommy DeBlanc, and Scotty DeBlanc. Pallbearers will be Dillon Lopez, Jeremy Standridge Jr., Lester Gonsoulin Jr., Jason DeBlanc, James Asbury, and Cody Landry.
