Richard Archibald Hohle

Cecilia - Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Friday, December 4, 2009, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cecilia, for Richard Archibald Hohle, 79, who passed away on Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Cecilia. Mr. Hohle was a veteran of the Korean War having served with the U.S. Army. He was a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association and also a member of the National Geographic Society. He was an avid sportsman. Survivors include his sons, Larry Richard Hohle and his wife, Julie, of Farmington, NM and Steven Blake Hohle his wife, Anna, of Watkins Glen, NY; his daughters, Marcia Hohle Sinitiere and her husband, Donnie, of Humble, TX, Catherine Hohle Johnson and her husband, Craig, and Francine Lynn Hohle all of Cecilia; his brothers, John Hohle of Minneapolis, MN and Walter Hohle of South Dakota; his sisters, Bertha Hohle of Denver, CO, Gloria Cohen of Denver, CO and Doris Buus of Portland, OR; 19 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Aline Marie Brasseaux Hohle; his parents, Otto and Martha Paulick Hohle; his son, Lt. Col. Marc Lee Hohle and his daughter, Darlene Kay Hohle. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 12 noon until 10:00 p.m. on Thursday and continue at 8:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. on Friday. A rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Pellerin Funeral Home of Cecilia is in charge of arrangements.
